Not having purchased a home in many years and never on the Cape in a seller’s market which presents its own challenges, we needed Bob Churchill, who was not just a buyer broker but a true partner in the process and soon a friend. Bob knows his job and the Cape inside and out, but more than this he knows people. And by this we mean not just helpful contacts from viewing properties to closing, which he certainly does. Bob knows how to talk and, above all, to listen to people. He makes it very clear from the outset that he is interested in getting to know not only what you want but who you are. My wife and I know what we like and were able to identify the house we bought in a fairly short amount of time but that didn’t get us to the finish line without us second-guessing ourselves. Bob was in touch with us on an almost daily basis, serving as a sounding board and offering judicial advice. He never tried to move us in any particular direction but rather made our own desires more transparent to us and put what we were feeling in perspective. Once we decided to make an offer and after the home inspection made it clear that certain fixes would be necessary, Bob calmly offered us context on how these things usually go on the Cape and how this particular property compared to others with which he had been involved at the inspection stage. As we live off the Cape,
Bob even went by the property by himself to take pictures to show us how the work was progressing. He kept in touch with the seller’s realtor, asking him whatever questions we had for him, no matter how hard we thought they were. If ever there was a question Bob couldn’t answer, he immediately found someone who could. Clearly, Bob loves what he does, because he loves helping people. We can think of no higher recommendation than this and no better person to guide a buyer through what might otherwise be a difficult process than Bob Churchill. He is the first person we have met on the Cape. We cannot imagine meeting a better one.
